Allosaurus lucasi would take this fairly easily btw. Considering it was more than 10+ metres and apparently a lot more bulky than your typical Allosaurus. I would still take A. fragilis over Baryonyx walkeri though. Agreed

Epanterias is known from hardly any material, what's its importance here? We are going into the field of speculation... I am not even the one that brought it up. Look in the OP. That was over a year ago

And? What difference does that make? People's opinions can change easily in a year, just because it is in the OP doesn't mean it is a statement that we still consider as factual

I was only saying that Epanterias could probably take down Baryonyx IF it is Allosaurus. But apparently that statement is controversial, so now I am being attacked by people, because "opinions change and stuff".

Stop being overly sensitive, nobody is attacking you by any means, you just brought the controversial topic up, which lead to people disputing and debating about it, but hardly anything was aimed at you until you started to get defensive about nothing.

Mecha 1. Monolophosaurus may have not have realised that the thing in the OP is no longer valid 2. Instead of just derailing the thread you could have just explained to Monolophosaurus that the OP is no longer valid and edit it out of the OP.
Though, Monolophosaurus you could have figured it out yourself from the countless times people(mostly me) have stated on several Allosaurus fight threads that Epanterias is both impossible and pointless to bring up.

This is currently the Baryonyx holotype(sub adult) compared with a 9 metre allosaurus specimen( DINO 2560). The baryonyx is only a tiny bit bigger (I would say around 200kg + heavier which is not enough to give it a real advantage). This isn't even the largest allosaurus specimen we can use as-well. The largest allosaurus specimen I currently know of is one of the ones in the american museum of natural history which is like 9.8 metres long and approaching 3 tons. I am still doubting the size of Baryonyx though. At current specimens allosaurus wins without much trouble but a real fight would be at adult size. Btw this should help in the debate. Figures, size comparison at all for a sense of scale. The immature Baryonyx specimen isn't really much larger dimensionally than DINO 2560 which is around 8.8 metres if I remember correctly. Larger Allosaurus individuals would be a lot bigger dimensionally than DINO 2560(especially the 9.8 metre Allosaurus mentioned in this post). Allosaurus lucasi would be even bigger dimensionally and overall size as well than the Baryonyx and any Allosaurus found. So I still side with this post.

I'm speechless.
Anyway, yeah, Allosaurus takes this easily. Size advantage, and this species as mentioned seems to be bulkier and more strongly built. Wouldn't be a walk in the park, but there is a clear winner here.
