About Dinosaur Pivoting Forum
Dinosaur Pivoting Forum is a forum with the purpose of providing Pivot Stickfigure Animator users support with their work with the program. It also hosts several sections aimed towards different subjects, such as general art, debating, and general conversations. As of 2016, it has over 275 members, 32,000 posts, and 1,375 threads. It is run by 9 staff members, divided into 5 groups: Owner, Co-Owner, Administrator, Global Moderator and Moderator, from highest to lowest patent, respectively, with the Moderator group having the least members as of 2016. Moderators are the only staff members who only hold their authority in their moderation sections.
History
Dinosaur Pivoting Forum was founded by Pivot users Theropod and dragon in October 4th, 2013, with the purpose of providing support to Pivot Stickfigure Animators with their work, mostly but necessarily only aimed at dinosaur animating, given the ranking system used was not very popular among the dinosaur animating community. Both founders gained popularity in that same year, as their animations were recognized as some of the highest quality at the time, particularly movement-wise. With tutorials being frequently requested, both had the idea of a forum where people could get their animations analyzed and ranked, inspired by the Animator Forum, then known as Dark Demon Forum. The forum grew rapidly popular among the community, which, being extremely YouTube-based at the time, had less difficulty in communicating in a more well communication-oriented website such as a forum. More sections were added, and were shown to spark a lot of interest from the community as a whole.
Purpose
The Dinosaur Pivoting Forum not only serves as a major support board for Pivot users, but it also offers sections for users so that they can talk about whichever topics they prefer, aiming to keep everything organized, and ensuring that the services offered are of the highest quality.
