I think the Jaguar wins as it has a stronger bite

I think the Jaguar wins as it has a stronger bite We don't even know how powerful Baryonyx's bite force was at its real size, and even if we did, the square cube law would stop us from calculating what Baryonyx's bite force would be at this size using scaling.

Jaguar dominates, it is one of the toughest felines overall, not to mention how this is at a weight parity where the feline is favoured due to the square cube law not making it less agile. The Jaguar wins with ease.

Mismatch infavour of the Jaguar, 100% mismatch. The jaguar at parity is the most powerful feline alive(and the most powerful at parity none sabre tooth cat). It has one of the strongest bites of all cats and is probably one of the best grapplers alive right now. Jaguar domination.

Obviously, this is a very interesting match nonetheless. The weight parity suggested is in the cat's favour as well.

Jaguar wins, it has more formidable weaponry and as Theropod said the jaguar will be more agile at this weight parity due to the square cube law.

If this was a weight parity of 1 ton it would be a bit more even but the Jaguar would probably still win more often than not

If this was a weight parity of 1 ton it would be a bit more even but the Jaguar would probably still win more often than not I wouldn't advise putting an actual size just put parity and how they would act normally under normal conditions. Because this parity thing is to eliminate any size advantages or disadvantages

I mean, it's bigger, and can leap and use it's forelegs in a fight too...

Looking at this thread, I should mention we're scaling strength and mass linearly.

If you took a spinosaurid that naturally grew to the size of a jaguar, the latter should win without too much trouble, it's clearly more adapted to similar-sized opponents. If you took a megalosaurid or carnosaur against a cat at parity (and it appears some of the aforementioned theropods naturally grow to their size), it'll be close.

That's and old post, you might as well want to read more recent posts.
Anyway, it doesn't stop us at all, we can scale its mass down using the cube of the scaling factor and then its biteforce by using the square of the scaling factor.
