Many recent sources (a few of them being National Geographic, just in case you were wondering) I have suggest that Allosaurus fragillis is commonly 35-40 feet long, 3 tons, while T. Rex is 36-44, 7 tons. The size difference is pretty inconspicuous, but Allosaurus can run faster than T. Rex. Take a look at this following picture Sure, Allosaurus might be smaller, but this is like 3 teens vs. young adult. The young adult can't win (unless he's some crazy martial art expert, but that's beside the point. Dinosaurs didn't have martial arts.). allosaurus is not scientificly proven to be able to reach 40 ft in length. the reason why allosaurus fragilis is thought to be capable of reaching 40 ft long because its being speculated as being an analogous taxon with epanterias amplexus. the thread states that were using allosaurus fragilis, so we should stick with these smaller allosaurs. and you analogy is corrupted because of the square cubic law. its already been explained so i'm not going to get further in that exclamation.

Neither is any of your arguments for Allosaurus fragilis here. OOOOOOOH. You told him. I changed my vote to Tyrannosaurus, by the way.

Volume is not directly proportional or even jointly proportional to weight and winning chances.

your correct, volume is not directly proportional, which actually proves my statement as being correct that smaller animal capabilities can not be inferred to larger animals the amount of muscle in larger animals is compensated for the added weight it has.

I've already made a thread explaining that.
The strength of a muscle is determined by the area of its cross section, so strength scales by the square of the scaling factor, while mass scaled by the cube of the scaling factor, which is also why scaling in real life is allometric rather than isometric.

Can someone please set this thread on fire? I don't like my past self. Brings back memories. Bad memories. I didn't like being the immature kid I was.
Well, at least this is like 4 pages into the sub-forum.
Oh fuck, well now it is not because I just posted here. SOMEONE SET THIS THREAD ON FIRE....
