The azhdarchid would be too intimidating, but if they where to fight, why does everyone said T. rex has to win? I think it's because T. rex must win evertyhing, all hail the king of the dinosaurs. The one that must be mentioned at least 6 times in a post in a blog whenever a new dinosaur is revealed!
T. rex has a huge size advantage, but the azhdarchid has a deadly beak. If T. rex got a good rip on the azhdarchid, it would eb an easy win though.

there's no way the azhdarchid is going to create significant enough damage to the latter as vice versa. the intimidation factor could go to the pterosaur. visually speaking, large azharchids in general would appear dimensionally larger then theropods. reason being they also have the largest skulls out of any terrestrial organism ( excluding really large ceratopsians. though, specifically speaking, from the tip of the snout to the point of jaw articulation, they could be considered owning the largest jaws of any terrestrial animal) but ones taken to consideration that both combatants want each other dead, tyrannosaurus possessed a massive size and mass advantage and of course a ~6 ton bite force.

The Pterosaur lacks the weaponry to be able to cause severe damage to the Tyrannosaurid. It would probably just get intimidated by the theropod's more fierce appearance and impressive weaponry. |

You didn't seem to understand what weaponry is in that post, the azhdarchid is pretty well armed. Its beak (excuse the crappy terminology) isn't exactly the most devastating weapon in comparison with the powerful jaws of a theropod. |
