Black Ice convinced me that the wolf would put up a reasonable fight, though the cougar wins this overall. It is bigger and stronger than the wolf, it's also faster and more agile, and has retractile claws and is significantly better grappler. The wolf has stamina and slightly superior jaws, but the cougar still wins a great majority.

It is bigger on both avg and max sizes, but we can find both at equal sizes in the wild so I'd go with parity. I slightly back the Cougar.
