PERFECT MATCH UP!!!This has now become one of my favorite fights lol. This truly is an amazing toss up.Both tyrants would leave bloody if not dead. They both have nearly the same weaponry and mass and length are nearly the same.Easily a 50/50 fight

However, Allosaurus is QUITE bigger (32 feet vs 26, and considering the Epanterias amplexus, that becomes 40+ feet vs 26!). It's also fast enough to ensure Megaraptor doesn't have speed as an advantage. Also, Allosaurus would have the stronger bite. I give this one to Allosaurus.

Do we even have any material to accurately determine the bite force of Megaraptor namunhuaiquii?
And both are around the same size, given how volume determines size better than length.

There’s no reason to believe megaraptor was builkier than Allosaurus. Neovenatorids seem to be pretty comparable to Allosaurus in terms of their bulk if N. salerii is anything to go by, but they are much more pneumatic. If anything, at equal lenght Allosaurus would be heavier. Note that I’m not attempting to produce a size estimate Megaraptor, I don’t know how large it was.

The holotype metatarsal 3 of Megaraptor is the same lenght as that of DINO 2560 for what its worth, but I’m not sure whether the figure in the theropod database is supposed to refer to the estimated total lenght or the preserved part. The problem is that it’s mainly known from forelimb elements, which we cannot really compare to other animals with more normal developement of the forelimb. There’s a pubis, but no comparative data for Allosaurus.
