Now this is one VERY weird fight. I think that the Goblin Shark will PLUNDER the alligator gar (Get the pun?), especially if the shark is at it's natural ocean depth (Where in that case the alligator gar may either get too cold or get crushed by the pressure?)

Apparently the average weight for a Alligator gar is 91 kg while apparently a goblin sharks average weight is 200kg. Shark dominates if those sizes are correct and the Gar's jaws don't seem very impressive either.

since when did goblin sharks have strong bite forces? goblin sharks jaw structure is not adapted to exhibit strong bite forces. instead, it's adapted to lunge forward, grip , and swallow whole. I actually doubt a goblin shark is even going to be able to penetrate an alligator gars ganoid scales.

note that at 0:40, the ax actually sparks from the alligator gars scales. there's no way a goblin shark is biting through an alligator gar. I really doubt any of them would successfully even kill each other. |
