i would go with diabloceratops on this one, i don't see a theropod beating a similar sized ceratopsian most of the time.

i will go with diabloceratops on this one. ceratopsians are just tough for similar sized predators. Diabloceratops sems to be bigger than Lythronax, I am sure it's like ~2 tons.

I would give it a 50/50 fight, they are both equally as effective as each other. They are about the same size and have both equally as effective weaponry because the ceratopsian has a weaker frill and horns pointing up compared to the much more effective triceratops which would be more effective than any type of theropod at similar or acquired sizes.

I am sure Diablocratops is a little bigger Diabloceratops is about 18 feet long(5.5 metres long) while Lythronax is about 22-23 feet long(7-7.3 metres long). Not only that Lythronax has that bulky tyrannosaur figure that animals like Bistahieversor and Tarbosaurus have(but not like that of tyrannosaurus). I would say they are about about the same size but there is a bigger chance that Diabloceratops is larger by a little than Lythronax being bigger. But it probably won't give it much of an advantage.

Those are not the most combat-effective horns around, they are not very enlongated like a Triceratops' so they are not that helpful in combat. However Lythronax is not outflanking Diabloceratops since it has a very little rotational inertia due to its compact body so it has the ability to turn fast. Tyrannosaurids however, have more elongated bodies and heavy heads, which makes them very heavy far from their torso, and making them less aerodynamic. Ceratopsians have wide-gauge front limbs which allow them to turn and move faster than predators. So due to this, they'll be face-to-face all the time; Lythronax will try to outflank its prey item in an attempt to check for a vulnerable area to attack, but the ceratopsian is not getting outflanked for reasons previously explained on this post. I would say this is very close, a bite from Lythronax could end it but a thrust from Diabloceratops could as well. However I am favouring Lythronax here due to its binocular vision being a little helpful (even though it's a bit overrated) and being able to do a more well-aimed attack using its superior weaponry. So I'd give an edge to Lythronax.
