Dude, the Crocodile has a huge size and weight advantage. American Crocodiles can be up to 6 metres almost and American Alligators are like 4.5 metres max. Also, even though the Alligator has a bigger bite force, the Crocodile has a larger skull and can inflict lots of damage to a smaller animal.

It's not a mismatch, because the Alligator has a chance, but its borderline. Crocodile wins nearly all the time for me, especially on land.

Note: This is all from memory so if any facts are wrong please correct me.

Its also a lot more aggressive. So I would say the crocodile wins 80/20
