We've all heard this before. The new giant american Theropod who is giving Tyrannosaurus a run for his money. But just how much of a threat is he? I hope this turns into a huge debate, I love it when that happens >
Feel free to post your own images, theories and papers if necessary. I would also be glad to do some Googleing for you guys, just hook me up on messages or some shit and Ill get on it.
Please note: For this debate, I was referring to the 35 - 40 ft Siats estimate, not the almost certain 30 ft estimate. If the former estimate is true, then there is a good chance this dinosaur could grow larger than Tyrannosaurus I think. Do not be confused.
Siats meekerorum
33 - 39 ft (or larger) in length. Estimated weight up to 5 tonnes right now. Could possibly weigh more.
Tyrannosaurus rex
39 - 42 ft in length. Estimated weight up to 8 tonnes maximum based on latest studies.

Not even funny, T. rex still has a size advantage. It's not a mismatch but T. rex takes this.

T. rex wins due to its weight advantage, bulk and bite force. But this is one hell of a fight.

T. rex might kill even Epanterias amplexus easily but this makes for one hell of a fight. T rex still wins though irrevelant

Depends, against the siats holotype I tend to think the average T. rex still has a bit of a weight advantage. We don’t know what an adult Siats would be like though. I’d comfortably favour any known Siats over a small T. rex (like MOR 1125) for what it’s worth, but obviously a large rex would destroy it considering it is at the very least 30% more massive.
