Sinosaurus Triassicus Vs 4 Tsaagan Mangas

Never heard about any of those dinosaurs. But to what I see and hear… Sino would win.

Tsaagan mangas was a dromaeosaurid and close relative of its contemporary Velociraptor. It had a shorter tail, longer legs, boxier skull, and larger teeth than Velociraptor, but is pretty much the same size. We think that it was probably focusing on more gracile and fast-running prey than the stocky, more robust Velociraptor, which is why they were able to coexist.



Sinosaurus triassicus (which despite the name, comes from the Jurassic) is a dilophosaurid, and was for a long time only known from very fragmentary remains. Earlier this year however, it was shown that it's remains are synonymous with the infamous "Dilophosaurus" sinensis remains, and thus it is actually one of the best-known early Jurassic theropods as far as skeletal remains are known. It's exact size is currently being deduced, but it is thought to be close to Dilophosaurus in size if not greater. It preyed on large prosauropods in its local environment, like Lufengosaurus and Yunnanosaurus, as well as armored dinosaurs like Bienosaurus.

I read that it was 4 and it still doesn't really matter. There's such a huge size difference between the 30 pound Tsaagan and the possible 1,000+ pound Sinosaurus that it would still be an unfair fight. Even the combined weight of all 4 Tsaagan would still only equally about 1/10th Sinosaurus' size. Moreover, I and many other scientists these days don't believe the raptors lived in packs anyway, and even if or when they did, it would certainly not be anywhere as sophisticated enough to hunt something like Sinosaurus anyway.

Hmmmm, Tasaagan should be in multiple Mangas...
