Either way, Spinosaurids are bulkier than Carcharodontosaurids in general, and Spinosaurids are far better equipped for defence.

A wild guess on Carcharodontosaurus' biteforce would be ~3 tonnes, while I am sure that Spinosaurus would have a biteforce of about as much. Irritator was "only" 1.9 tonnes actually, so its biteforce is about ~400kg. You can even calculate that yourself, if you do the right calculations you get ~460kg, but Spinosaurus had a bulkier skull which makes Irritator's bite weaker than that. 400kg sounds right. I am gonna calculate Eocarcharia's biteforce and get it to you as soon as possible. My guess on Carcharodontosaurus' bite force is around 1.5 tons, while my guess on Spinosaurus' bite force is around 3 tons. This means that at parity (considering that Spinosaurus at its real length is 1.8 times larger) Spinosaurus' bite force would be around 1.6 tons, while Carcharodontosaurus' bite force would stay at 1.5 tons. Judging by my estimates, Irritator's bite force would be around the same as Eocarcharia's bite force, considering that Irritator had a less robust skull design than Spinosaurus. How is Carcha's bite 1.5t? That is much weaker than a human bite at parity.

Mecha you are very wrong, just because spinosaurus is bulky that doesn't apply to every freaking megalosauriod. Spinosaurids are more gracile and bite forces pale in comparison to Allosauriods and Tyrannosaurids at parity. Eocarcharia has a stronger bite, is bulkier and this is a spinosaur vs a carnosaur at PARITY here people for fuck sake. Eocarcharia wins.

Actually, RaptorX just informed me that the Irritator specimen found was probably a juvenile, and juveniles usually have gracile morphs. Both Spinosaurines and Baryonichines were pretty robust at adulthood.

Actually, Allosaurids were NOT more robust than Spinosaurids at parity. Only the Tyrannosaurids and Abelisaurids were bulkier than the Spinosaurids. And perhaps the Carcharodontosaurids, although I find it debatable that Carcharodontosaurids would be more robust than Spinosaurids at parity.
