I honestly am not too familiar with Postosuchus' size... I have seen quite a few figures for it, and I gotta admit I'm rusty with those. At parity, though, it does convince me more, if we are dealing with similar sizes.

I believe Herrasaurus is 3 metres, while Postosuchus is 4, the huge jaws and size give it the advantage imo.

On another forum, I was involved in a discussion on the size of Herrerasaurus and here are the takeaways of it. There is a specimen formerly dubbed "Frenguellisaurus ischigualastensis" and it was likely an adult specimen. Although nothing has really been done to prove that the holotype and smaller specimens are juveniles, it's not implausible considering how much larger "Frenguellisaurus" is. I recall reading that the "Frenguellisaurus" specimen would plausibly be somewhere in the realm of ~600 kilograms...
...which is larger than Postosuchus.

In that case, guess there is a slightly different outcome...

Not too sure really, although I could imagine the Herrerasaurus may have a slight advantage due to being the far more agile animal?

Even if the Postosuchus is about 50 kg less in weight, I can't see how it would lose. It definitely wins at size parity, but at accurate sizes, I would say it would be a very close match, but I would probably still side with Postosuchus.
This is an interesting matchup considering that Postosuchus' relative Saurosuchus lived with Herrerasaurus, only it was much bigger and would win without even the slightest of doubts.

Postosuchus is no longer thought to have been slow. But the relatively gracile theropod is surely more agile?
