Acrocanthosaurus atokensis earns my vote here, its killing method is just more efficient overall. Biting the neck is more likely to work than striking an important artery with those claws.

Because It has very long claws. So I think it would just claw him.

acro would still go strong if it gets swiped once, and biting onto its neck would cause alot more damage.

Because It has very long claws. So I think it would just claw him. Clawing isn't the most effective killing method. As I said, the odds that the claws will strike any important arteries or veins aren't as high as if Acrocanthosaurus atokensis bit its adversary's neck. There is a reason why predators use jaws more than claws.

Acrocanthosaurus is too big to really be killed by the claws unless they struck an important artery or vein in the neck/throat area or something, but how many times do animals die because something slashed their throat with claws? I don't think many, so most of the time it isn't something to really worry about. Likewise, how many animals are actually specialized in killing exclusively with claws? Once again, the answer is not many, and Therizinosaurus isn't really one of them. Those claws aren't going to be very efficient tools for dispatching a similar-sized animal. If Therizinosaurus was going up against a smaller predator then I'd back it, but Acrocanthosaurus is just too much.

I agree with Ausar. Also, it must be taken into account that most animals with claws made exclusively for killing usually do not take on animals within their size range. Several people have survived throat stabs and other cuts, and this is considering how our throats are likely more vulnerable, and I bet the knives used are more likely to go deeper, given Therizinosaurus cheloniformis' limb moving range.
