Ok so maybe this thread isn't about dinosaurs (being pedantic) but let's see what you all think. This time, two really even species go head to head. Just to make things more dramatic, I guess I'll include a little scenario. (these beasts actually lived in the same time period and lived on adjoining continents and, having a flight range of 8,000 miles, it's quite possible they met) A herd of sauropods is on the move, and Hatzegopteryx dives in for a meal. Just before it makes quick work of the last youngling, a rival pterosaur dives in, squawking and screeching loudly. But this isn't just another nuisance waiting for it to leave something behind; in fact, it's a Quetzalcaotlus, and it's just as big as the Hatzegopteryx. The Hatzegopteryx screeches back, but it's clear that the Quetzalcoatl isn't going to leave. The Hatzegopteryx considers its options, and tries to leave, but Quetzalcoatlus rams it in mid-takeoff, and the Hatzegopteryx is enticed to fight... www.google.com/search?q=quetzalcoatlus&espv=2&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=CTvsU9iQI5D_oQT_jYGgBg&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&biw=1600&bih=795#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=be-k8mM6u8IQ5M%253A%3B6g8DJW51B8CBnM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fedaphosaurus.com%252Fblog%252Fwp-content%252Fuploads%252F2011%252F02%252FPterosaur-scale.gif%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fedaphosaurus.com%252Fblog%252F%253Fp%253D281%3B636%3B480Hatzegopteryx: -33 to 36 feet long -39 foot wingspan -8'2" skull Quetzalcoatlus -30 to 36 feet long -36 to 39 foot wingspan -(couldn't find skull length)

it is highly unlikely that pterosaurs of this size and scale would dive at their prey. it might as well be suicide. azhdarchid are very well adapted for terrestrial locomotion. a battle would most likely take place on the ground. their morphology is similar, but hatzegopteryx was the overall more robust, muscular, and heavier animal. the image you posted is an outdated illustration. hatzygopteryx wasn't as tall as a giraffe. it had a proportionally shorter neck but was much more robust and muscular. defining its status as a macro predator of its environment. as well as having a head over twice as wide as Quetzalcoatlus northropi.
