The argument "I didn't say..." doesn't work in a situation like this, because I could be stating the truth by using the same argument as well; "I didn't say you did".

It's not about debating; it's explaining an argument, clearing something out. Sounds completely fine in a debate about anything you can imagine.

Technically speaking you are debating about the way someone has been debating, but I have nothing against it.

No - I'm explaining why the argument didn't work, and the argument concerned the topic at hand, what's being done is a mere clarification.

Utahraptors win.
1. Smarter. Quite a bit, actually. Large theropod EQ is 1.5 to 2, but raptors were near 6. That beats dolphins and chimps. The Utahraptors not only have each other but can cooperate efficiently.
2. Faster. If they are losing they can run away and come back a bit later...right?
3. Strength in numbers. If the Allosaurus is chasing one of the Utahraptors, the other one can land on its back and start cutting it up. The Allosaurus is too slow to catch the first raptor anyways.

1. Intelligence isn't a very important factor in theropod fights; it's a lot more relevant with animals such as primates.
2. Speed isn't an advantage - it's not going be used to kill your foe.
3. This does not favour your case. Usually, larger predators > packs of smaller predators, given how they're a whole organism with more overall strength.
And who said Allosaurus fragilis was slow? That's somewhat stereotyped, animals of that size are well-capable of moving at good speeds.

The Allosaurus is too slow to catch the first raptor anyways. 2/3 of your statements are irrelevant in this case as we know for a fact when dealing with dinosaurs intelligence matters little with a fight like this even if the raptor has a generally higher IQ. Faster...Sure maybe a bit but the allosaurus still has agility on its side as it's not a massive predator. It can still move at a good pace and it can still grab a utahraptor with its superior bite force... Strength in numbers. There's only 2 of them. The allosaurus alone could take them both. It's got mass on its side and size.2 factors you can't overrule in a debate like this... The allosaurus's jaws would literally crack utahraptor's head open.Plus if you wanna get really complicated. The allosaur's rotational inertia is still enough to rival that of the utahraptor's.Case in point.Utahraptors lose unless the allosaurus is to lazy to fight back and wants to get eaten...

"Strength in numbers" isn't quite an advantage, larger predators usually do better against groups of smaller predators.

Allosaurus could cripple one of them without too much effort, once that is done it is going to win most of the time.
