I honestly dont like the "detailed stick" direction that we are going. Its just to much of a hassle to piece together little tiny fragments of a stick, just to make it different colors. Im sure it also takes longer to make these sticks. I think we should go back to the old ways of making sticks with 4 parts maximum.

This is exactly why I don't do pivot anymore.I don't ever get enough detail.Detail Suchomimus is trying to introduce but everybody is pretty much against it.Instead of moving forward you continue to stay in the shadows.At least Suchomimus and Liko have the balls to do something different for a change.

They're definitely harder to attach, but what stops us from using them once they're fully attached? If you're making an animation test, for example, there's actually even a piv to start from. Is there something stopping us from animating more complex figures? Once they're joined together, there is absolutely no difference between them and a one-stick only figure, the details do not interfere in your animating experience. Plus, if you think the dark lines are unnecessary, they're separate figures, they do not need to be added. My Broken Jaw stick, for example, has a simple version, you don't need to add the details, and the claws are not separate (there's another leg behind it). Just trying to get new ideas around, we don't want the community to get old, do we?

I completely agree, the community needs to move forward. Peter bone didn't sweat blood and tears to release pivot 4 just so you guys could do everything you did on pivot 3 on pivot 4. He created pivot 4 to expand the potential of pivot.

I agree. I'm also going to make sticks with those details (although not all of them), but whenever I do I'll make sure to give the option to use a 4 part stick. I just couldn't make a 4 part stick with Broken Jaw this time because the teeth were too detailed, and I couldn't have the head and the teeth in the same figure, but I made sure the teeth would be easy to attach, with the lower teeth being attachable to a 0 thickness stick outside the jaw (which is also dynamic, by the way, and is responsible for moving the entire jaw).

Another reason I dont really like this detailed thing (dont get me wrong, its cool and all), is that the sticks like these detailed ones dont fit in with the other sticks of the "past".That is really probably just me being picky. I think I might attempt at doing this stuff (keyword: attempt). I already made a Eustreptospondylus in this styles, but I scrapped it. I guess I should start over. We will see how it goes.
