As pointed out by Spinosaurus1, it's too fragmentary, it's either a neovenatorid allosauroid or a tyrannosauroid coelurosaur.
And I was wondering if you'd be interested in the debating tournament.

Ive never heard anyone suggest that it was a Tyrannosauroid. It is either a Spinosaurid or (most likely) a Neovenatorid, in the subfamily Megaraptora. Im going to trust Thomas Holtz and go with Neovenatoridae.

Its actually a fairly recent discovery. The uncovered remains of a juvenile megaraptor has a strikingly similar appearance to certain tyrannosaurids. I rememder reading an artical on it. Although you have to purchase the adstract study conducted on the specimen, there are plenty other articles and even photos. It is described having a D shaped cross section and even upholding a similar arrangement and amount of dentition to certain tyrannosaurs

in the subfamily Megaraptora. Im going to trust Thomas Holtz and go with Neovenatoridae. Ive never heard anyone suggest that it was a Tyrannosauroid It's actually scientifically classified as a taxon from the tyrannosauroidea superfamily. It is either a Spinosaurid or (most likely) a Neovenatorid It's possible, but it must be noted that the taxon is actually very fragmentary, and it's hard to say what it really is. in the subfamily Megaraptora Megaraptora isn't a subfamily, it's a clade of tyrannosauroid theropods.

Megaraptora is NOT definitely a clade of Tyrannosauroids. It isnt scientifically classified as a Tyrannosauroid, that is a hypothesis (hoping that is the right word) that suggests its a Tyrannosauroid. It is still widely accepted to be Neovenatorid. If you look on Wikipedia, youll see this mystical thing called a question mark. It isnt definitely Tyrannosauroid. Either way, it dosnt matter, Giganotosaurus absolutely dominates this animal.

As said before, its debatable. And its not generally accepted as a neovenatorid. Its too fragmentary and there is actually pretty strong evidence of it being of both classification. By the scientific community point of veiw, megaraptors classification is still open to debate.

MonolophosaurusWikipedia itself goes against what you're saying about it; they classify the Megaraptora as follows. Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Clade: Dinosauria Clade: Theropoda Superfamily: †Tyrannosauroidea Clade: †Megaraptora And by the way, it's also not certainly a neovenatorid due to how fragmentary it is.

It also says this: Subgroups[3] †Alectrosaurus †Appalachiosaurus †Aviatyrannis †Bagaraatan? †Bistahieversor †Calamosaurus †Dilong †Dryptosaurus †Eotyrannus †Labocania †Santanaraptor? †Xiongguanlong †Yutyrannus[1] †Coeluridae? †Proceratosauridae †Tyrannosauridae †Megaraptora?[2] In the Tyrannosauroid page. Wikipedia is contradicting itself here. If Megaraptor turns to indeed be a Neovenatorid, then so is Megaraptora. If its so fragmentary, then why are you saying that its a Tyrannosauroid? I think that one of two things will happen here: 1. Megaraptor, Australovenator, Aerosteon, and kin are indeed Tyrannosauroids, and thus so is Megaraptora, and definitely Dryptosaurus. 2. Megaraptor, Australovenator, Aerosteon, and kin are indeed Neovenatorids, and thus so is Megaraptora, and POSSIBLY Dryptosaurus. Regardless you are right that there is no sense in arguing over this because the remains are so fragmentary on most Megaraptorans.

theres a difference between public accusation and scientific accusation. the announcement of megaraptor being that it occurred first and that idea in classification lasted for a considerable amount of time, would allow the public to make claims that is is guaranteed as a neovenatoroid. by the scientific point of view however, it is viewed as speculation that can most definitely become further studied then just concluding the evidential factor of the thumb claw on the fore arm automatically making it an allosauriod or neovenatoroi. if you want to know why a megaraptor being a tyrannosauroid is a very likely possibility, read the link below paleonerdish.wordpress.com/2014/06/30/the-megaraptor-mystery/

MonolophosaurusI'm not using it as my source, but once you brought it up I checked on it and even Wikipedia claims it to be a tyrannosauroid. And no, it's seen as a member of the Tyrannosauroidea (superfamily), not the Tyrannosauridae (family).

Dont know why this all matters anyway, considering it dosnt really matter, Giganotosaurus still crushes Megaraptor.

I had to clear that out, because those two can cause a lot of confusion. Dont know why this all matters anyway, considering it dosnt really matter, Giganotosaurus still crushes Megaraptor It's called a debate, and I don't really see anything wrong with it.

True, but that isnt really the debate topic. its relevant but just not..... right. Either way, you are probably right.
