Arthropleura and Velociraptor wouldn't win, the giant bug had armor on its back, if it kept lieing down the arthro wouldn't take damage whatsoever. There's no winner here.

I don't know Arthlopleura's weight, but I would say it would take this.

But usually the Arthropleura had to raise its front to scare off enemies. This can either be a major weakness, or a place where if you attack it, you will be squashed like pancakes. Here's an example below (and yes, thats Nigel Marven, LOVE DAT GUY!):

But usually the Arthropleura had to raise its front to scare off enemies. This can either be a major weakness, or a place where if you attack it, you will be squashed like pancakes. Here's an example below (and yes, thats Nigel Marven, LOVE DAT GUY!): Problem is it didn't. -_- Arthropleura's bony plates on its back didn't allow the level of articulation for it to rear in that fashion, and you can actually see the disarticulated plates in the image you posted. There is also no animal in Arthropleura that it would need to rear up against, so there is no reason why it would want to rear in a fight or for that to be part of its behavior. Moreover, it takes powerful muscles in the body to allow an elongate animal like snakes or Arthropleura to rear. Such muscles have only rarely evolved, such as in a few species of venomous snakes like cobras. Finally, there is no species of millipede alive today that rears, nor do they need to, so Arthropleura would probably be the same. So, in a fanciful fight like this, Arthropleura would just hunker down while the Velociraptors climb all over it, trying to find out what it is. If Arthropleura has ozopores which produce poisonous liquid or hydrogen cyanide gas like modern millipedes, then the Velociraptors would start getting horrible irritations in their skin and eyes and probably run off. Even if it didn't , the Velociraptors would probably just get bored and go to find something more interesting, thus leaving Arthropleura to either continue to munch away at the vegetation, or to slowly die of asphyxiation from the low oxygen content in the atmosphere. You chose. In other words, this would be among the most boring fights ever. Cheers.

Yeah, I guess your right. Darn media... However, I may try to do more Plazic-mezesoic fights... Lets hope in the next one, I won't make something like this...
