^Does the fact that you also haven't been very active contribute to the idea of this place dying? XD

My inactivity and other users also contributed to the idea of this place dying, though the lack of animations we are creating is apparently the biggest one that contributes that idea.

^That's actually one of the suggestions I made to theropod. What I love about my Google group is when we update animations it's the front of everything. We do other things like my "question of the week" but showing previews and asking for critiques is always the center of attention for the group
The Pivot part of the forum should be on top and made more obvious. I can't even find where people post their animations and sticks together in the pivot part of the forum... which is supposed to be the main focus of the forum

Even though it won't die of activity-related issues, this forum will become very inactive like that one from Droidz. Newcomers, according to Monolophosaurus, just come here for the sticks from the Pivot Chat. That issue is the lurker issue found in every forum - 90%+ of users are not active, this happens even in forums that have been active since 1996. The thing is, the more newcomers we get, the more active we get, not the other way around, as you are elucidating. The rate of lurkers that eventually become active remains more or less the same, and thus, as more people join, the more active people we get. Out of ~40 newcomers, 2-3 were active. One of them was proceratosaurus, who made 900+ posts so far, caused es1001 to make some 900 posts, and by posting on almost every thread on the forum, made several people become more active. They had what to reply to, that's why. Eventually, we will get yet another influential poster, and that's how the forum grows. The forum is still in its growing stage. Also, the sticks from Pivot Chat can be downloaded by guests as well, if we made it so that only registered users could download files, our lurker rate would be immense. I remember the reason I joined at first was only to get the sticks from Pivot Chat. I never intended to become part of this community. I remember something like I was not able to get the sticks unless I had an account. At least it was back then. Or maybe I am just batshit insane. I have no clue why people would lurk, then.
