The only C. saharicus found was about 13 metres long and 8 tons. Its impossible to determine the average for C. saharicus. I would say this is 50/50 leaning towards T. rex though

i believe the t.rex would win, mainly because of its bulkier build and stronger bite force, although carcharodontosaurus could really put up a fight.

I would favour T. rex in this fight, about 60/40 in favour of T. rex. T. rex was bigger, weighing slightly more than Carchar. T. rex wins.

Is size even relevant here? It is accepted that both were very similar in size, I don't think size is worth bringing to this thread.

I would favour the Tyrannosaurid due to reasons already stated above, but there is barely anything in it

i feel that the taller biuld, longer jaws, apaptations for an inlarged gape, and slicing dentition would allow carcharodontosaurus to apply greater variability with it's bite then vice versa. carcharodontosaurus has slightly better chances at delivering the fatal blow imo

The gape isn't really important at all. As I said on a different thread:
"Gape = jaw length/sin((180-gapeangle)/2)×sin(gapeangle)
An angle of 60° and a jaw lenght of 1.4m, you get 140cm, though it's worth noting that it probably didn't open its mouth that wide, crocodiles for example do not usually go beyond 40°, so that gives 96cm, which is actually enough to bite an entire torso."
I wouldn't bet on the gape playing a very important role here. And how much taller, exactly? Of course we can get somewhere scaling from related taxa, but apart from teeth and vertebrae, we have some fragments, we sure can calculate its height based on other taxa, but we wouldn't be too sure about its accuracy.
