Depends as Theropod says. If its very little, the (Pootis) bird wins. If its a giant swarm, then the hornets win.

It's a whole nest for gods sake, that is a huge ammount of hornets. Those things are nasty, they can sting multiple times. Let's say the bird has to fend off 3 waves of hornets from the nest. The first wave will be hard enough to defeat EVERY single hornet, while getting stung a lot. Just because the bird eats hornets doesn't mean it can gobble up a whole swarm.
It does depend on the size of the bird and the size of the nest, but the hornets should be able to sting enough times to win this round, before the bird can do anything back.
