This is an incredibly hard question to answer because this is a very general time period. The Late Jurassic spanned some 18 million years, and even if we were to narrow this down to just the Morrison Formation, it would still span some 7 million years. To put that into perspective, if one was to go back 7 million years ago from the present day, the Ice Age wouldn't have happened yet, the Mediterranean was an evaporated salt pan, horses, rhinos, antelopes, and gazelles were only just starting to evolve into open grassland habitats, and the Sahara was lush and green. The Morrison Formation had undergone just as many if not more changes in its environment.
The changes that happened to the Morrison during its 7 million years were dramatic, and would probably take a full blog post of info to explain. Luckily, I'll probably write a blog post just about that. Thanks for the idea.
