meet the new turkey vulture out of all dromaeosauridae thus far. sauronornitholestus is the first dromaeosaur confirmed to have a very acute sense of smell. this species, confirmed in 2015, has a rather large brain’s olfactory bulb compared to S. langstoni. indicating that this particular creature has a very well developed sense of smell. at six feet in length, it is compatible in size to certain velociraptor specimens( although dwarfed by the one specimen believed to weigh in at 25 kgs). such adaptions could of been use to locate smaller prey or carcasses. making it's diet much broader then relations of similar size
