Ruins Field is a vast, wide open plain filled with yellow grasses and abundant wildlife. Among the vast plains are hills, rocky outcroppings, small groves of deciduous forests, subterranean caves, and to both the East and West can be seen towering mountain peaks from both the Highlands and Himeroon Mountains. Most interesting of all, however, are the countless ruins of what seems to have been a long-lost city scattered throughout the plains, which have puzzled archeologists for hundreds of years.
Deep within a grove of trees in the wide open expanses of Ruins Field, a thief was laying down in the noon-day sun and looking through his bag of loot which he was able to steal off merchants heading towards Barubaré. He was of the species Fasolasuchus, a huge hyper-predator species as big as many large theropods, and had a big bounty on his head for anyone willing to catch him. He wasn't worried though, he was too sly, and too cocky, to think about it.
"Haha! Another good day of looting. I wonder what good stuff I got today," he says while beginning to look through the bag he had. His voice was ruffled from chewing on a piece of labyrinthodont jerky. He emptied his contents on the ground, and was disappointed to see it was mostly junk.
"Oh, what! What is this stuff? Children's toys, mammal wool, some broken pieces of a chair... This is all junk! How can I make a profit out of... Oh?"
The Fasolasuchus looks down closer to the ground and sees something else that fell out of the bag. It was small, but a very beautiful ring with a crystal attached, seelingly designed for ornithopods, and probably for an engagement. This could fetch a good amount of Scales on the market. He sticks one of his claws through the loop of the ring and brings it up to his face, smiling.
"This just made my day it seems." The Fasolasuchus smiles. "I'll get some decent cash out of this..."
"I'll be taking that if you don't mind..." Another voice says from above him. Suddenly, a small hand swoops down from a tree above him and grabs onto the ring. His face shows an expression of utter disbelief as the a young human dressed in full black, pointy ears, and two swords sheathed on his back lands down a few meters away from him. He turns and smiles, holding the ring out teasingly.
The Fasolasuchus is outraged. "HEY, YOU! GIVE THAT BACK YOU PESKY MAMMAL!"
(Cue awesome music)
"Then steal it back." The human says cockily before taking off into the forest, the Fasolasuchus in fast pursuit. The young human ducks and jumps over logs and through bushes to outrun his pursuer, while the Fasolasuchus mows down everything in his path in a mad rage. The human seems to take this little chase as if it were just a game, and after a while of running, leads the Fasolasuchus out of the grove of trees and into the open. However, before he makes it fully out, some rocky steps cause him to lose his balance, and he falls and he drops the ring and lands in the grass.
The Fasolasuchus has trouble putting on the brakes and skids right over the human, but he avoids getting hit or trampled by the rauisuchid's massive feet. He turns and tries to grab the ring in his jaws, but before he does, another creature swoops down from the sky and grabs it. It looked to be a flying mainiraptor similar to Microraptor, but bigger than a Deinonychus and completely white all over. It's wings were huge and it's tail incredibly long, and it swooped around the giant carnivore's head teasingly. The Fasolasuchus bites at him, but then notices a symbol on his vest that he recognizes. It was the emblem of Twin Tails, the strongest guild in Panmundia, and he immediately is paralyzed in fear.
"THE GUILDS! I'M OUTTA HERE!" The Fasolasuchus yells before turning and trying to run. However, after he takes a few steps, the ground before him caves in under the weight of his foot, and he falls into a massive pitfall. He's stuck and dazed for a second, but then immediately tries to free himself. Before he can, however, he sees the human from before run towards him with something in his hand. He throws it at the Fasolasuchus' face, and the package bursts into a big cloud of powder. He takes in a few breaths of the stuff, and begins to feel really drowsy. He realizes he was hit by a packet of a sleeping gas before falling into a coma. He was about to be turned in for his crimes against the citizens of Panmundia.
A few hours later, Saito had gone and retrieved the royal army to take the villain to jail, while Merick had tied up the big brute, who was lying on his side trying to get himself free of the bindings keeping his mouth closed and legs tied. Merick stood on top of him, waving at Saito and the forces as they approached, some ceratopsians towing a big temporary cell for the thief during his journey to the jail.
"How do you like my binding work officers? This guy isn't going anywhere any time soon!" Merick smiles. Saito lands in the grass nearby and the officers are soon there and beginning the process of transferring the huge rauisuchid.
"You did a fine job as always Twin Tail." The lead officer, an Iguanodon, replies. "Your reward has already been sent to the guild for your hard work. We are in your debt for this one."
"It was nothing, really." Saito says. "This guy was actually pretty easy compared to our other captures, and there was so many reports saying he was incredibly danger."
"Yeah, I'm actually kind of disappointed." Merick says.
"MMMROOOMMROBROOM!" The Fasolasuchus tries to say through his tied mouth in protest. Apparently he didn't like being called "easy" or a "disappointment".
"Well, anyways, I thank you again my young lady. I'm sure you and your team partner will serve us again greatly in the future." The head officer says.
Merick's expression turned angry, and he lowers his head so that his eyes were covered by his hair. He grits his teeth, and the whole mood of the conversation changes within an instant. The Iguanodon wonders what is wrong.
"What?" He asks confused.
Saito then breaks the news. "He's a guy..."
"Mroomromb?" The Fasloasuchus mumbles dumbfounded, not knowing his captor's gender either. His noise is then followed up by a swift kick to his face by Merick in anger, and Saito goes to calm down his older brother.
