Orion growls: Instead of fighting, why not team up? We could take down large Sauroposeidons. It would be an advantage. We could also find more Acrocanthosauruses to form a small pack, so we can kill sauropods with more ease and in less time.

Eisenhower answered: You have a point Orion. We should team up and form a pack. That way, we can get more Acros to help us take down the Sauroposeidons. A week from now, an annual Sauropod migration will pass through here. If we want a pack, we better be quick.

Orion: Yes, I know where we can look for more Acrocanthosauruses. 7 miles to the South, you'll find a huge hunting area, where Acrocanthosauruses are often found. Some of them already know me and they would probably not want to fight me since some of them actually fought me once.
Both Acrocanthosauruses go to their South. They are getting thirtsy so they stop by a massive lake, where they can drink some of that limpid, greenish-transparent water. Many herbivores are drinking there and swimming as well, and they seem to retreat after the two massive Acrocanthosauruses arrive. After drinking, they both continue their 7 mile travel to find a pack.
After lots of walk, they seem to get there. They see 3 Acrocanthosauruses takng on a Sauroposeidon, and even more similar scenes in the background. Orion approaches the nearest group. The group greets the two Acrocanthosauruses aggressively, but Orion releases a really loud and intimidating roar which makes the 3 retreat. Orion gets to the point:
We are not here to fight. We have a deal. We could form a pack that would work much more effectively, taking down colossal sauropods. Not to mention how it would help us with defense.
The pack seems to be fine with the idea. About the 3 Acrocanthosauruses: First one: 11.8 metres, male. Second one: 11.7 metres, female. Third one: 11.2 metres, male.
They start to trust eachother. The 5 Acrocanthosauruses now try to take down the Sauroposeidon they were trying to kill before Eisenhower and Orion appeared.

Several weeks later, Eisenhower, Orion, and their new pack, have started a bond with eachother. They take down large herbivores and plan out new battle tactics. Life was seemingly well so far.
Eisenhower took a walk near a sandy beach by the lake. His pack's territory was not too far away. He then remembers the time when his carcass was stolen and how he met Orion for the first time. Those were some interesting days indeed.
He takes a small drink from the river, when suddenly he heard a peep behind him...

Strype walked out of her den, up in the cold hills of prehistoric North America. She took a few slow steps, leaving deep footprints into the fresh snow. She pushed past a couple trees, and came out into a clearing. She widened her half-asleep eyes, and gazed out into the distance. The grey sky and dense fog were hiding the amazing landscape below. The cold was worse than usual today. Strype clumsily retreated back into her den, to get a few more hours of shut eye before going out for the day.
Strype awoke with a start. She had been having such a wonderful dream, which had already been forgotten. "That sucks..." she whispered. She slowly got her senses, and started to actually wake up. She slowly climbed outside, and immediately saw a difference. The fog had cleared up quite a bit. She could see the huge dense jungle below, and even a small section of the prairie. The sky was still a dull grey though; that never changed. She needed a drink before she headed out to hunt for the day. She followed a narrow path of stones, which she had placed into the snow so that she would always know where her refreshments were. It slowly came into view, a gigantic hot spring. It was at least 45 square metres. She would often come her to have a nice warm drink, and also to bathe. She had a quick sip, and started to descend down the mountain, heading to the north.
She was nearly at the bottom now, after a 15 minute walk down the hill. She walked past the home of the small Deinonychus family. That family were her best / only true friends. They often delivered her food when she was on her way down, just as a nice gesture. In return, she protected them as best she could. The family consisted of a mother, a father, and two children. They were very kind. Strype continued on, now approaching the edge of the jungle. She slowly edged off to the right, going into the edge of the jungle. Here she was camouflaged with the dense bushes. After a couple minutes of stalking, she found a tiny herd of Tenontosaurus gathered around a small pond. Strype crouched deep into the bushes surrounding the pond, waiting for one to get too close...
WHAM! She struck fast as lightning, lashing out with her jaws wide open. The Tenontosaurus had no chance, its neck was instantly caught in Strypes jaws. As the other Tenontosaurs ran off, Strypes victim was already dying. In a matter of minutes, Strype had begun to gorge herself... An hour later, she had eaten her fill. She quickly tore a section of the Tenontosaurs tail off, and carried it in her jaws. She started to return home. She walked out of the forest, back towards the Raptor Den, and then back up the mountain.
Strype was nearly at her home now. She thought. The fog was becoming very dense, and it was becoming hard to see. That meant that the day was coming to an end, she needed to get home quickl- "OUCH!" She exclaimed. She had studded her toe against a huge boulder. The Tenontosaur tail dropped out of her mouth, dropped onto the ground, and started to roll down the mountain, spraying hot blood everywhere. "Of course! Come back here! God Damnit!" Strype screamed. She began to chase her dinner down the mountain. But on her way down, she stopped in her tracks. She had seen something that made her heart leap from her chest straight up into her throat. She shuddered, not from cold, but fear. She had spotted the silhouette of another Acrocanthosaurus...

She shuddered, not from cold, but fear. She had spotted the silhouette of another Acrocanthosaurus... She had not noticed how far she got. She was already very far from her house now, and the dense fog was making her very confused. She was in a heart-acelerating occasion; She saw the sillhouette of another animal that could harm her, and since she cannot see anything very well, she only knows that is is another Acrocanthosaurus. The place is completely silent, with only the dull, cold noise of the cold place. She then heard the large Acrocanthosaurus sniffing, he was indetifying her as no treat. Nevada comes close enough and can now be slightly seen. Nevada stares into her eyes. She was so scared that she thought Nevada was staring into her soul. His eyes were very aggressive, but suddenly became friendly and Nevada released a social growl. Nevada rarely fights other Acrocanthosauruses, and he does not fight without a good reason. He can't see why he would fight here, so he doesn't. The enlongated feathers at the top of his back and neck can be controlled like a dog's fur on its back, and in this case, Nevada's body language-related feathers were normal, which for a Feathered Acrocanthosaurus variant like Nevada means that he is social. Body language never lies with Acrocanthosauruses; Those dinosaurs in special cannot fake their body language expressions. Even though Strype is not one of those variants, but a Striped Acrocanthosaurus variant, which makes her name a bit obvious, she can still understand body language from a different specie. She has a few spikes on the top of her neck, which have the same purpose; Body language. She uses them to reveal that she is relaxeed and social. Nevada notices that she has eaten recently - She still has her prey's blood over her teeth and jaws. Nevada also notices that she got lost in the middle of the fog, which is quite common happening here; Many dinosaurs get lost in the fog here. However, this was a rare sight. Strype was so adapted to the fog, but this time it was more dense than what she is used to handle. Nevada offers his help to the lost Acrocanthosaurus. He notices that she is a very friendly, social animal. They share some small information about eachother as they walk uphill. Strype reveals that she is usually social with dinosaurs that are not of her own species, while Nevada reveals how he is well adapted to the fog and is up to help others who get lost in the middle of the fog. They walk uphill as they share more about eachother. The place starts getting colder as they go further uphill, they are walking up a very steep hill. Snow gets closer, and they are both not bothered by the lower temperatures; They are well-adapted to those conditions.

Eisenhower managed to take a walk around the local pond. He was thirsty and decides to take a drink. He had been good friends with Orion ever since the after math of there first encounter. He two Acrocanthosauruses in the distance. He was curious at what was going on and so he began to follow them from a short distance.

And yet, on the other side of the lake, 5 Sauroposeidons were drinking and eating by the lake. Malcom was one of them, looking over the small group. He and two others were the adults in the group, while the other two were only youngsters. He could see Eisenhower on the other side of the lake and watched him closely.
Hey boy! he called out, Would ya mind getting away from the lake huh? Your blocking the beautiful damn view!
The rest chuckled as he said that. Eisenhower just growled and moved on.

(Nevada and Strype are like 200 kilometres to the North of Orion and Eisenhower btw)
Orion is feeding on a carcass, along with the other members of the pack. He watched Eisenhower moving slightly away from the carcass, and was aware that the pack would have to be careful; Eisenhower cleary saw something that might mean danger to the pack. Orion quickly told the pack to be prepared because Eisenhower's body language using the top of the back spikes reveals he is being a little territorial and aggressive. All of those Acrocanthosauruses are spiked variants, thus maning they have spikes all along from the head to the end of the tail, at the top of those parts. Those spikes are very helpful in body language. Those variants usually have intense scales and 3-4 different colours, like Orion does. However, Southern specimens of this variant, like Eisenhower, usually have less colours. Orion, as the largest of them, gets closer to Einsehower so they can stand their ground. Their pack gets closer as well to stand their ground if necessary. They see the sillhouettes at the other side of the other side of the river that passes by. Still in the morning, the river causes lots fog to be up, this fog between them only allow them to see silhouettes.

The crack of lightning startled Strype. It was huge, and very loud. She stood there, stunned for a minute. Until she remembered... A knot immediately twisted in her stomach. The feeling of terror was becoming immense. Nevada had stopped talking to look at Strype. "What's wrong? You alright?" He asked. "...No I'm actually not" Strype said. "That lightning strike is just the beginning. I have, uh, connections, and they told me a storm was approaching. I thought nothing of it, of course, but today had been really cold, and I'm scared that its a... a...". Strype couldn't say that word. It had haunted her past, and if she didn't escape now; it would haunt her future. Nevada had begun to look much more scared. His eyes were widening as he realised what she was trying to say. "We have to go right now!" He yelled. Strype started running back to her den. "Hey! Wait! Uh, It's a bit closer to your den than mine, so I was wondering if you'd mind if...". Strype laughed. "Of course I don't mind, come on!" They ran, very quickly up to her den.
When they arrived there, they saw that her den was already occupied. The family of raptors had already entered her cave, and were fast asleep. The storm outside was getting louder and louder. "Who are they?" Nevada asked. "They are my connections" Strype replied. Strype lay down at the back of the den, so Nevada was forced to the right (the raptors had taken the left). Now, all there was to do, was to wait.
A couple hours had past. Things were absolutely terrible outside. It was raining cats and dogs, even hailing in the hills, and there were small floods rushing down the mountain. Lightning had also been taking its toll, and small sections of jungle had been completely burned away; the fire was only stopped by the heavy rain. The wind was worse though, up to 250kmph winds were smacking down on the hill from the storm above. Although Strypes habitat was safe from the devastation of these winds, the top of the hill had been hit with the full force of them. Trees were constantly falling over, and creating huge rumbles through the ground whenever they did. It was a very scary storm for Strype too. But they had to wait it out.
Strype was petrified beyond belief. She let out a loud whimper.

Trees were constantly falling over, and creating huge rumbles through the ground whenever they did. It was a very scary storm for Strype too. But they had to wait it out.
Strype was petrified beyond belief. She let out a loud whimper.
The jungle was slightly burned, thanks to the intense rain, it was not entirely burned down. The winds were starting to get faster, and reached surprising 350km/ph (217.48 miles an hours). A couple trees fell down on the jungle above them, and waterfalls started to form on the hills. The jungle below was becoming a swamp due to the heavy rain, and lightning struck many places all the time. The sounds of it were just astonishing. It was hell. The storm was not ceasing any soon, it was gonna be for days straight. The clouds started getting darker and denser, instead of the opposite, as many would expect. A slight fog covered the hills, but was constantly taken away by the winds, and replaced with more fog. Heavy rain drops dropped on the entering of the den and other raptors hid on on places near the Acrocanthosauruses' den, they are the only creatures that can easily get up there due to their agile, light build. The winds only get faster and faster, and only what can be heard is an unbeliveable loud sound of the immense force of those winds. The loud winds nearly muted entirely the sounds of large tree trunks cracking like immense twigs, that could be heard at what seemed more like a nearly low frequency sound from a distance. However, the scary thing is that those cracking sounds are very loud; Only muted by the wind. It only serves to give an idea of the potent winds that are now superior to 415km/h (257.86 miles an hour). It was a disaster, it was hell. The dinosaurs in the comfortable cave felt so small and impotent, the storm showed no mercy. They all got so close to eachother, and only wished they would survive. But they know, that in this cave, they're safe. The storm made it clear that it is not ceasing this week; It will show no mercy on any dinosaur that dares to face it. You can't fight the storm; You won't win, you can't win, it will kill you, no matter who you are. It will take your life; Destroy, annihilate, butcher you, be it doing use of wind power, or lightning. At no point will a homeless creature be able to survive this, there is no chance, it's virtually impossible. The only thing that mattered at the moment, for Nevada, was to keep his new friend, and the fragile, small little predators safe, at any cost. He felt like he had someone to share his experiences with, and live a different life with his own species. Strype, on the other hand, felt safe and protected with another of her own species; She felt like she could combat opposition with even more ease now, whenever she would need it. Both prdators felt very glad of their friendship.

After the storm, Malcom was walking and inspecting the damage alone. He managed to be alone from the group and was taking a short walk. He could see burnt trees, burnt dinosaurs and the ground was littered with ash.
Hot damn! he groaned to himself, Good thing I was far from the fire when it started! Or I would've been sent to hell!
He was also being weary, for an Acrocanthosaurus could attack him at any time.

Strype woke up in her den. Slowly, though. She was desperately tired, she had slept for barely 3 hours last night. And then she remembered why... She shuddered. Immediately, she listened. No sounds at all, except for the drip, drip of water falling from tree leaves onto the damp ground. She looked around. Nevada was still there, still asleep on the right side of the cave where the wall was jagged. 'I will fix that up for him later' Strype thought. She didn't see the raptor family though. They had probably returned home, she figured. Strype poked her head through the thick bushes, and looked around outside.
It looked exactly the same, just with no snow. The 6 inch snow that had covered the ground had all been turned into water. There were puddles everywhere, and they were sloshing around violently in the wind. The sky had cleared up, and was back to a dull grey colour. The fog was back to normal, much better than yesterdays fog, and now she could see the jungle below. The jungle below... Strype stared at it in shock. There were large patches of the jungle, mainly in the centre of it, that had been burned away by fires. Around the edges, a lot of trees had fallen down, and the ground had seemingly been liquefied. All in all, it was very minor damage to such a huge jungle, but it looked very different from her home. She checked on Nevada; he was still asleep. "Let's do this then" She mumbled. She started to carefully tread down the mountain.
When she reached the bottom, she was relieved. The jungle entrance was no different. She was certain that the jungle would recover now, and was very happy about this. 'That's all I needed to see, really. What a waste of time!' She thought. She started to walk back up her hill, when she saw the top of it. The trees had been stripped off the top of the hill. The top of her hill looked like a wasteland. "Holy crap..." She whimpered. If she was only another kilometre up her hill, anything could have happened to her. She shook her head, and began the long journey back to her home.
Just a couple minutes into her journey, she noticed the ground getting very wet. This area was very flooded. "Wait a second..." Strype said to herself. "This was were the raptors lived...". Strype bolted to the raptors home. She found it caved in, with water flooding out the holes in the entrance. Strype was shocked for a long moment, but eventually she realised they were trapped inside. Suffocating. She knelt down, and stared into the ground. She was extremely upset; she had lost her only long term friends. But then she heard some light crying from behind her. She turned on the spot, to see the family of raptors cowering inside a hole in a tree. She immediately rushed over to them.
"Jesus, are you guys okay?" Strype asked. "No, not really. Our home is gone." The father raptor answered. "Please help us... Please" The mother begged.
Strype immediately instructed the raptors to find shelter in her home. And with that, they all headed back up the hill. Strype was going to build these raptors a new home, higher up the mountain. They would be safe there, and Strype didn't want anything to happen to her friends. She eventually made it to her home, and watched as one by one the raptors entered her home. She slowly peeked inside, to see the raptors starting to find a nice place to rest. Nevada was still fast asleep. Strype took her head out of her home, and started to follow her stone path. She was not letting a storm ruin her routine.
She made it to the hot spring, and took a huge gulp of water. Nice, warm water, after a long, cold, wet night. It was heaven. Strype was about to head off, but she realised she didn't have any real plans for the day. "Oh, what the hell!" She yelled. She slowly entered the hot spring, and lay down in the nice hot water. She was neck deep in happiness. "Mmmmm" She moaned. This was so relaxing. She started to day dream, and forgot about last nights traumatic events. But a noise from a distance made her snap out of it. Strype realised that Nevada had woken up, and he was coming over.
