I don't count myself as feminist, I like to call myself an equalist. I don't think anyone should call them self a feminist, because it sounds like we only care about female rights. Men deserve equal rights as well, and despite popular belief, in a few situations, they don't have them.
But I'm not against feminists, in fact I support their cause, as long as they don't lie and cheat like the radicals (ever heard of Anita Sarkeesian?). I hate radical feminists.

I suppose I'm an equalist as well, but I very much support feminism as a movement and I believe some more radical actions (non-violent) may be necessary at times to actually balance out both woman's and men's rights.

Technically you are both feminists then. The problem lies within radical feminism, which is most of the time over the top and most feminists do not properly understand their reasons.
I am an equalist, I find the statement "I am a feminist" too female-centered, as we have other social groups that also have disadvantages.

I'm a proud anarcho-feminist because "equalists" or "gender egalitarians" have never done anything worth while ever. They are literally just fence sitters who empathize with feminism but don't care about it or are anti-feminists who use their position to berate feminists about their position (basically disguised mysognists). What has feminism achieved? Gave women the right to work, women's sufferage, the right to vote, access to better contraception, more open expression about sexuality, rape being taken more seriously in society, the gradual weakening of gender roles, improvement of women's pay relative to men's, criminalizing domestic violence and so much more which has unquestionably led to an overall better society for everyone. What have self-proclaimed "gender equalists" ever achieved? Absolutely nothing, they might as well be MRAs (Men's right activists, a new found source of neckbeard cancer) with such a track record.
Also, the reason it is called "Feminism" isn't about gender but about empowering feminity and challenging the regressive masculinity that dominates our society which hurts both men and women alike with gender-roles, double standards, injustices and overall inequality. Considering that women and people of different sexualities have got the far shorter end of the stick therefore have larger injustices and obstacles to overcome everywhere in the world. This all leads to the common goal of equality between all genders, sexes and individuals. Anyone who supports gender equality is a feminist, whether you like the lable or not.

This all leads to the common goal of equality between all genders, sexes and individuals. Anyone who supports gender equality is a feminist, whether you like the lable or not. Look everyone, a biased person with no evidence. What good have modern feminists done? I would like to know. The only thing modern feminists have done is harass men on the Internet. Feminists in the early 20th century got shit done, good on them, they made extremely useful contributions to society. But so far modern feminists have done nothing good for the world today. Equalists are actually helping in places where women are actually oppressed, like the Middle East, for instance. Anti-feminist Youtube channels like Thunderf00t and AmazingAtheist are raising money to help women who are sold into sex slavery and abused in the Middle East, Africa, India, etc. That is far more than the upper-class white females who complain on Twitter/Tumblr page that people call them fat because they are. The ones that think they are oppressed when they have more privileges in life than 99% of the world's population. That is modern feminism, and that is why I will never label myself a feminist. What have you done to help the world, keyboard warrior?

So because equalists have never done anything good, their ideals aren't good? Really?
Women are not the only ones with disadvantages. I support equality for all, not just for women. I am a feminist, but I don't claim to be one because it is not necessary. And I am not proud of being a feminist, being proud of believing people should be equal is nonsense. It's something everyone should believe in and being proud of doing something that you should do is rather silly. Not wrong, but silly.

In order to balance out gender equality we have to emphasise women's rights more, despite the fact that we are technically equalists. Trying to gain gender equality while trying not to appear slightly more focused/biased towards one rights movement likely isn't going to make much difference as overall gender rights aren't balanced. Since women's rights are still not equal to men's in today's society we need to focus more on feminism in order to balance them out. The difficult thing would be trying to maintain that balance if it was finally reached. The attitudes of certain people may never change in terms of gender rights but as a society overall massive changes could be made.

I still hold that they are almost equal in America/Canada/Britain/whatever first world country (or whatever you want to call it), but in order to be equal, men also should have differences made too. I think I've elaborated on this before, and I don't feel like typing a bunch right now, so I'll just leave it at that. Third world countries are a different story altogether, they are messed up almost beyond repair, but something can be done.

Uh... no... what on planet Earth could possibly make you think I don't care simply because I said they're almost equal? That's literally all I said. I mean I also said that men aren't 100% equal either, does that mean I don't care? That's ridiculous. My point was that people are focusing too much on women in wealthy countries where they are equal in most aspects, and not enough on people that have much bigger issues. I wouldn't call women or men equal to each other at all, they both have disadvantages in first world countries that are not the same thing. For instance, women being highly favored in divorces, men get more harsh crime sentences, and have a higher suicide rate, while women are not always paid equally for the same job, are more likely to be raped, and are less likely to be CEO of a company. My point that I have stressed frequently is that women are not the only ones oppressed. Then I said that most third world countries are a completely different shitstorm. Geezus guys. What magic inequality fair keeps telling I don't care?
