Hello, I am a beginner animator. Since I have little experience on animating, I would like some tips on animating and such. Note: These sticks are not mine, I give credit to Dinomorph3000, Suchomimus65, GZF, Theropoda Entertainment, and others. (I will list the stks i used and the ppl who used them). Just so you know, im Only going to have 2 animations at a time. So you may notice some animations disappear as I add newer ones Terribly sorry for my inactivity, here is a new animation that I think is kinda good. Tyrannosaurus by Suchomimus65? Quetzal Take-off Quetzalcoatlus by Prehi Productions Dunkle likes fish Dunkleosteus and Tuna by Rexog (I think)

This is pretty dam decent! For now I would say low beginner due to areas of chopiness and lack of effective flow in certain places, but this is very impressive and your movements are pretty advanced for a beginner. The fundamental thing you should work on in your animations for now is probably easing which will increase general smoothness drastically (tutorials for this can be found in the tutorial section). Very nice work!

I love how the animation is lengthy and already uses effects, it shows you are very dedicated and you already have an impressive understanding of how movements should go. You have the proper idea of how long movements should be and how they should happen, it all looks very carefully calculated. The Spinosaurus' tail waves very impressively at one point. As there is always room for improvement, I think all you need to have in mind for your next animation is to add a few more frames in between movements, mostly for when movements are starting. Your movements reach their fastest almost immediately, and while that can be seen in even a few of the best animations, they always have an acceleration point, and that's the keyword: acceleration. You need to make the first frame slower, and then the second a bit faster, and so on until the movement reaches its maximum speed. I cannot say how many frames it should take because each movement and animating style is different, but that is something that even a few minutes of practicing can yield good results. Open up Pivot and start animating anything you want, preferably something simple to practice this. The first frame should not move a lot, the second frame perhaps double that, and it goes on more or less like that. You could work on foot placement and minor details, but those are things I think you should work on later. Low Beginner with a lot of potential!

Yes, but that is a very normal thing. Rexog is probably the next Elite animator, and look at his first animations. Not saying they were bad, but they were definitely not Intermediate. As for your new animation, I can't say you haven't improved. Sure, it is short and hard to analyze, but it doesn't take any effort to see you have improved. There are more frames in between movements, the whole body moves and avoids stiffness. The foot moves very well, even though it moves by a few pixels its movement quality is superior to the other animation. It seems you got the notion of how both acceleration and desaceleration work, so I don't really need to mention it again - just practice it more and more until you start doing it automatically. I think you need to work a little bit on onion skin trailing, which consists of a movement following its path, not going off it randomly. I have made a tutorial to explain this more properly; dinosaurpivoting.boards.net/thread/68/updated-onion-trailing-tutorial-smoothnessIf you have any questions, just ask.

Hainosaurus is now congeneric with Tylosaurus. I guess that means that it's Tylosaurus bernardi now.

Agree. All you need to work on is the easing, and you might want to practice some other techniques like onion skin trailing.

I like that new animation. Interesting blood effects, overall the movements are very interesting. The same tips apply, work more on easing and soon you will be ranked up very easily!

Great new animation, that cycle is perfect for a beginner! Getting into Medium Beginner really fast with that. It's a bit shaky, but I don't see that as a huge issue and I would advise you to work on it slowly rather than work a lot on it. Work a little bit on everything, that way you will not forget other things and soon you'll get a hold of how it all works, that's when you rank up. Trust me when I say you have potential!

Yep. Youre Medium Beginner for sure. The easing has been improved, but some parts might not look as realistic, though, So If you you just work on that, you'll be on your way!

I love that easing in the legs of the animal, works spectacularly well. The animation is a bit shaky, but if you just keep on practising gradually things will smooth out. Easily high low beginner-low med beginner.
