Nothing like GMod to me. The whale model I have looks nothing like that. Of course they wouldn't use GMod only for this...

I know everyone loves to fantasize over Megalodon still being alive, and while it is still possible; Megalodon is most definitely extinct.
Scientists have proved that Megalodon was not a deep sea predator. It has been proved that it ate whales and other large prehistoric mammals and fish. Anyway, whales need to breath AIR, which means they are the surface, which also means Megalodon was going to hang around the surface to get its food. It would rarely go 250 metres deep let alone 8 kilometres.
Also, if it lives near the surface, dont you think Megalodon would have been spotted by now? I mean, its 60 feet long. How can that not be spotted. These pictures on the video? Possibly real, but also possibly fake. My money is on fake, because the last one is 100% a Whale Shark. And anyway, how come no scientist or professional has seen a Megalodon and only tourists who happen to be on a boat with a shitty camera in the middle of nowhere?
And one more short note, if its primary food source is whales, how come NO whale carcasses have HUGE bite marks in them? Maybe just by chance? Well, majority of whale carcasses have Great White bites in them, so I dont see why Megalodon would'nt come to have a free snack as well.
Sorry guys, but the chances are super duper slim. Megalodon is long gone for me

It is nice to fantasize, but I don't believe it myself.
I'm not saying it's impossible but as es1001 said, it's unlikely.

This is still debatable. They should add that to an episode of "Weird or What?"

Snopes Link'fraid it's not still alive. It might be another giant shark, but not a Megalodon.

It could be still alive, but smaller. A different shark, maybe still bigger than the great white, but I don't think it would stay the same size for so many million years, even though there are animals that still look the same way they looked millions and millions of years ago.
